Examination Norms

  1. The year is divided into three terms. Each term will consist of a terminal examination.
  2. Every student will be issued an Admit Card for each terminal examination. These Admit Cards will be available before the commencement of each terminal examination from the respective class teacher.
  3. Parent/Guardian/Student must collect the Admit Card from the respective class teacher establishing the clearance of all dues by showing the class teacher the fee book. Admit Cards will not be issued to fee defaulters.
  4. Students without Admit Cards will on no account be permitted to sit for any Examination. All fees must be cleared before the commencement of the Final Examination.

Criteria for Promotion

    1. In order to pass, a student MUST obtain 40% in all subjects.
    2. Failing in English, Hindi or Social Studies (History & Geography) will disqualify a student for promotion.
    3. Any student who has less than 75% attendance (subject to genuine reasons for lower attendance being acceptable to the Principal) during the academic year shall be disqualified for Promotion
    4. Any student obtaining Grade E or lower in the subject S.U.P.W. shall be disqualified for promotion.
  1. Promotion is granted on the basis of the year's work and not merely on marks scored in the final examination. The Principal's decision with regards to promotion is final.
  2. The result declared at the end of the year is final and cannot be reconsidered. Answer papers of final examination will not be shown.
  3. A student who shows no signs of improvement or who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
  4. Subject to the provision of Para 1 above and further to it, students who habitually absent themselves from classes, or from terminal tests without good reason acceptable to the Principal or his representative. or whose conduct or progress is otherwise unsatisfactory if deemed by the Principal, shall not be promoted to the next class and the student may at the discretion of the Principal may be required to leave the school.
  5. Non attendance in all of the tests shall disqualify a student for promotion. Attendance at all the tests is normally mandatory. There is no provision for any re-examination, or re-test of any test or terminal examination.
  6. All questions of promotion or failure shall vest in the school authority and the decision of the Principal shall be final and binding.
    Note: The Principal may exercise his discretionary powers on applying any of the Conditions mentioned above in exceptional cases.
